I remember I adopted my first pet cat Yoda when he was a kitten. Yoda was an adorable, black but naughty pet. When he grew older he didn’t like to be closed by us. He always wanted to leave the house and wondering outside. Before that I had no experience of taking care of pets so, my wife took care of him most of the time. After two years, living with Yoda we moved from a unit in Eastwood to a house in Dundas.
The house had a big backyard. When I spent time having a coffee there, another cat would come along near me and looked for food. So I named her Chichi. I knew that the cat belonged to my neighbor a few days later. Unfortunately the neighbor didn’t look after her well. She seemed to enjoy staying in my place more than her own home. One day Chichi gave birth to five tiny kittens in my backyard.
My wife and I gave Chichi food and the home she and her kittens needed. Actually, we couldn’t look after these many kittens. We decided to get other people who want kittens. We kept Yoda, Chichi, and two kittens.Unfortunately Yoda got an accident and hurt himself badly. We took them to the vet and the vet suggested Yoda suffered too much and he needed a mercy death. We felt very about leaving him
eventually. Then we moved to a flat in Silverwater, so couldn’t keep the pets anymore because the landlord didn’t allow us to keep any pets. We left Chichi and her kittens with one of my friend who owes a big house. But unfortunately, there was a huge dog living next door of my friends. The dog bit Chichi and her kittens to death. All my lovely pets unfortunately died and I felt really sorry about them. I am still missing them a lot and I will keep the good memories of them.

Hi Ian, it's a good job, you have your own blog now. I enjoy your story. It is really interesting though the results made me feel a bit sad.
ReplyDeleteHi Ian, please tell me what kind of dog bit your kittens?
ReplyDeleteI am very upset for your pets.
I don't remember about the dog but big one.
DeleteAnyway, thank you for your concern
Thanks for sharing the story, Ian. (Well done, Terri!)
ReplyDeleteI had a bad experience with my own pet overseas, so I don't want to have any pets in Australia. Besides, I'm too busy with my work, so no time to look after any pets.
I see but I am wondering about what happened to you and your pet.
